Speaker Biography:

Ceri Davies earned a Master’s degree in Geophysics with Geology from the University of Liverpool, where he went on to complete a PhD in Paleomagnetism in 2009.

After receiving his doctorate, he joined CGG (via Robertson Research) as Sales Manager North America for Robertson where he was instrumental in launching the new organization and developing international and domestic studies for exploration focused companies.

Ceri was promoted to Regional Technical Manager for Integrated Studies earlier this year and has led the development of new studies in several US basins, the Caribbean, Brazil and also New Zealand.has worked the Powder River Basin for the last three years and has led field and lab‐based studies evaluating the Muddy to Frontier interval of the Basin.

Dr. Davies has published papers on the Earth’s magnetic field during the Cretaceous and will try to link this to analysis of plants growing on the banks of the western interior seaway.
